Drawing Dialogues: Selections from the Sol LeWitt Collection features over one hundred works in drawing, sculpture, photography, print, and installation by more than sixty artists from the artist’s extraordinary collection, as well as select works by LeWitt. The show concentrates on minimal and conceptual drawing, which forms the core of the collection. It is the first large-scale exhibition of the collection to be held in New York in over thirty years.
“Ideas cannot be owned. They belong to whomever understands them. The piece takes physical form and becomes an object. This object may be possessed. ‘A work of art,’ said Gertrude Stein, ‘is either priceless or worthless.’” — Sol LeWitt
