Artist Profile: Gianna Scoino, Recent Works

Gianna Scoino is an Italian artist who lives and works in Florence, and has exhibited worldwide. Her continued exploration of materials and unusual textures is reflected in her use of papers and fabrics. On September 30, 2014, L’ Accademia delle Arti del Disegno of Florence nominated her Accademica (Academician). She is the first woman artist to be bestowed this honor since Artemisia Gentileschi in the 1600’s.
